Chris Matthews opens up a can on the birthers
I was going to start a series of posts on climate change today, but instead, I think I'm going to run some errands and get caught up on correspondence. So here's a video clip of Chris Matthews going to town on Rep. John Campbell (R-CA) and the "birthers," ie, those conspiracy nuts who say Obama's not a citizen.

I saw my own children born. In a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma (a State in the United States of America).
I was born in Kansas,(another State in the United States of America) my late wife in Illinois (yet another State in the United States of America). My kids are indisputably citizens of this State and Nation.
Recently I needed a State I.D. card for my youngest son (16) for a mission trip he was taking. The paper I got from the vital records dept just a few weeks ago says:...
CERTIFICATION OF LIVE BIRTH
That is what is issued by Oklahoma, just like Obama's, and my son freely travels about , an OFFICIAL NON DISPUTED CITIZEN.If Obama was a white man named John Alan Smith or some such, there would be no controversy here.
Do these people honestly think John McCain would have not made a point of this? Hilary? SERIOUSLY? This is simply a manufactured "issue" to discredit a political opponent. And a foolish one at that.
